I love, love, love Breakfast! Too often during the week it’s filled with a grab-and-go yogurt or, an English muffin as I run out the door. When the weekend rolls around there is nothing better than sleeping in and then putting on my yoga pants and ball cap and going to get a downhome county breakfast. I kept hearing rave reviews of this new breakfast place, including my mother who said she had the BEST biscuits and gravy she’s ever had. And it was also just named Dallas’ 10 Best New Restaurants For Brunch. So, we had to try it and it didn’t disappoint.
We went a little later hoping the breakfast rush would be dwindling. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. We ordered so much food because we just couldn’t decide on one thing. My husband ordered The Country Breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were perfect just like my mom said. The mixed berry crapes were to die for. The pancakes my son ordered were light and fluffy and eggs and bacon brought a smile to our faces.
The owner, Tim, stopped by our table to visit with us. We were very impressed with him and his staff. If you are looking for a unique place with unique items on the menu you have to make the drive to the Scrambler Café in Plano, Texas!
